Tree through the roof?

Have you seen the tree through the roof of The Grand Barn? When we sat down to design this beautiful beast, we decided to keep as many trees in the area as possible. Trees help to shade the building in the in hot summer months, but permit solar heat gain for warmth when the leaves fall in winter. They also help maintain the Ohio woodland atmosphere which is one the things we cherish about this property. Therefore, we could not bring ourselves to take down the mighty maple tree near the back of the building so we decided to build right around it!

John, Sandy brought some heavy winds down to our property, but did not stand a chance against the Grand Barns Amish craftsmanship.
